We help people to feel better
Are you tolerating a level of pain, frustrated that you can’t just get on with the things that are important to you and feeling like your body has let you down?
Osteopathy gently releases tension so that you can be comfortable in your body. It’s suitable for all ages and is about treating the person, rather than the condition, so we’ll look for the underlying issues and identify exactly what’s causing the trouble.
We understand what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by the impact of pain, frustrated that you can’t do the things you want to, and worried about the future.
Over the last thirty years, we’ve have helped thousands of patients return to doing the things that they love, so that they can enjoy life again.
How we work together
Book an appointment
Share your experience and feel heard
Get started on your customised recovery plan
At your first appointment, we’ll take the time to hear about the problem you’ve come in with, but we’ll want to know about other factors which are all important in osteopathy – your occupation and lifestyle, previous illnesses and operations, stress levels, leisure activities and nutrition, so that we can take a holistic view of your situation.
Once we have all this information, we’ll make a physical assessment, to build up a picture of how your body is working – whether there are any restrictions or tensions, or pain produced when you move in a particular way. We may also include some basic medical tests, like reflexes.
We’ll put all of this information together to form a diagnosis and come up with a customised treatment plan. In some cases we may refer you for x-rays or other medical tests – and we’ll work with your GP to get that sorted out.
Osteopathic treatment uses a range of gentle hands on techniques to encourage your body to release tension, reduce inflammation, and increase mobility. We’ll begin treatment in your first session and may suggest exercises and homework as part of your recovery plan.
Our aim is to have you feeling better again as soon as possible, so that you can get on with the things that matter to you most.
