Covid-19 Update:

We are pleased to say that we have re-opened our doors, having put in place stringent health and safety measures to ensure we are Covid secure.  Thank you so much for your continued support of the Practice and your patience during the time we have been closed. Please be assured that all aspects of health and safety have been considered and factored into our re-opening strategy and resulting practices and procedures.

If you or a member of your household has symptoms, or you have been advised to self-isolate, do not come to the Practice. Thank you.

So, what can you expect when you book and attend your next treatment? Here is our step by step guide…

Our Team

Chris Johnson DO MSc PO, Registered Osteopath

Chris will be the only practitioner on site for the time being. He will be treating in both of our treatment rooms and will also be undertaking telehealth consultations and treatments if you prefer not to come into the Practice.

Jude Eller: Practice Manager

Jude has been with the Practice for over twelve years. She will be on site on Mondays and Thursdays, assisting Chris in ensuring the systems and procedures we have put in place run smoothly.

Treatment Rooms

We are utilising both our ground and first floor rooms and will do our best to ensure your mobility needs are taken into consideration.  Please let us know at the time of booking if you would prefer to be treated in the ground floor treatment room, and we will work to accommodate that where possible.

For your safety and reassurance, we have installed medical grade air purifiers in both treatment rooms.

Practice Facilities

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone who enters, we respectfully require you to arrive promptly for your treatment, as there are limited Reception services.  Please note that if you arrive early, you will be required to wait outside until your allotted treatment time. Please take this into account when planning your visit.

Please use your own bathroom prior to coming as toilet facilities are currently suspended to protect our team and patients.

We have always prided ourselves on the warm welcome we give and that will not change. What we are unable to continue to do, is offer you a drink, or a comfy sofa to rest on either before or after your treatment. Jude’s legendary tea and coffee making skills are being put on hold for now.

In line with current safe practice, all surfaces are wipeable so that we can effectively clean and antibac them between every patient.  When appropriate, Chris will alternate between our two treatment rooms, so you can rest assured that both are spotless, as one is thoroughly cleaned whilst the other is occupied.

There is plenty of hand sanitiser available, and we will provide a mask for you to wear at all times during your visit and treatment. If you are bringing your little one, a changing mat is available in each room for you to make use of. We apologise for requiring you to bag and remove all wet and soiled nappies for your own disposal.

New Procedures

  • Before arrival / Pre Treatment; You will receive a COVID-19 pre treatment screening form prior to your appointment, which will arrive by email – every patient is required to complete and return this form ahead of each treatment. Please ensure you complete it fully before arriving at the Practice for your treatment. We cannot treat you without this.
  • Upon arrival; please only arrive at your allotted appointment time, press the doorbell and wait for Chris or Jude to unlock the door.
  • You must wear the mask we provide properly and keep it on for the time you are with us, including during treatment.
  • Upon entering, hand sanitiser is immediately available for you to use in reception.
  • We will close the door and ensure it is locked behind you.
  • You will be invited straight into the treatment room and asked to take a seat on the chair indicated for your consultation. After which, Chris will exit the room whilst you prepare for your treatment, which may include removal of some clothing. Please place clothes, shoes and bags in the box provided. Hand sanitiser is available for you to use once you have placed your items into the box and before your treatment begins.
  • Chris and Jude will be wearing regulation PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including face mask, clinical gloves and apron and visor / protective glasses.
  • After treatment, you will be left to dress and collect your items – please sanitise your hands again at this time and move into reception to pay for your treatment and rebook if appropriate.
  • NB: if the patient is a baby or child, one adult family member only will bring the patient – please make suitable childcare arrangements if you have other children, for the entire time you are at the Practice.
  • We are not able to provide toys and books as a distraction for your little one, so please come prepared.
  • Payment: we are taking payment by card only and accept all major credit and debit cards with the exception of American Express. We are not accepting cash or cheques. Payment will be made by Stripe which means we will take your card details and apply the appropriate fee against it all through a secure online system.
  • Receipts will be emailed to you – we are not providing printed versions at this time.

We are a small business that has, for the safety of ourselves, our families, patients and wider community, been closed for several months. In order to continue to serve you, we have taken the difficult decision to remove all concessionary rates and implement a small increase and fees are now as follows:-

New patients – £66.00
Follow ups – £56.00

We are registered with Westfield Health and other schemes and you may be entitled to claim back all or part of your treatment fee but please do check directly with your provider.

These decisions have not been taken lightly, but in good faith and with every effort to continue to provide the best and safest service and standard of care to all.

Free Baby Check (FBC)

We have suspended FBCs for the time being. Over the past twelve years, we have raised more than £12,000.00 to benefit the Children’s Hospital and also the Neonatal Unit at Jessops. Instead, we are now donating a percentage of the fee from every baby treatment*, to each of these wonderful, local charities. *applies to babies up to their first birthday.
